MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. Perfect Balance of Comfort & Support!

Hard to judge thickness with only dimensions to go by

Very nice quality, just what I hoped for. But it's just too thick for me. I'm thinking of using my electric knife to try to skim enough off to be usable. I've slept most of my life on latex pillows and have not enjoyed using other pillows.

Good pillow, but too high for my neck

I love the Talalay latex for the quality, and that there is no smell. However, it is too high for my neck. I wish the company would make it in a 3" version, instead of just 5.5". They do have a "slim" version, but it is not even the same kind of pillow. It measures 2.5" and the back side is completely flat, so you can not turn it in over for use. The company basically took this 5.5" version and cut it in half for the slim.
