At the heart of the Vox Valvetronix VT40X is a close relationship between its digital brain and analog heart. A 12AX7 vacuum tube drives the preamp section of this Valvetronix for the kind of responsive tube feel and breakup you've come to expect from Vox. This preamp section is matched by Vox's VET+ Technology that backs up the drive of the 12AX7 for greater warmth and compression to cut to the chase in terms of classic British chime and heat. All of these tones are projected through the amp's eight-inch speaker to fill a room while onboard Volume, Gain, Tone, and Modeling preset controls deliver the kind of control to fit with more modern playing sensibilities.
