A non-toxic, completely chemical and animal product free children’s mattress.

We have spent years developing completely chemical free and safe fire-retardant materials.

Over the last year we have been inundated by customers looking for a Vegan and cruelty-free Children’s mattress, without any chemicals and without wool - so we developed one. Using our years of experience of fabric construction, we created a mattress that passed the strict UK fire regulations giving it an UKAS accredited fire certificate. The first time achieved without wool.

Without using fire retardant chemicals or wool, it is very difficult to pass the strict fire regulations which all kids mattresses must achieve. Our Vegan Children’s Mattress contains absolutely no fire-retardant chemicals, no animal products and no dangerous residues that can be inhaled or absorbed but it is totally fire safe and meets all the UK fire safety laws.

Each of our Vegan Children’s bed mattresses are handcrafted to order in Devon and side stitched together with flax thread. Unlike 99% of other manufacturers – we don’t use solvents or adhesives in construction.

All our mattresses meet the Stockholm Convention for recycling and are labelled as such.

We offer these mattress in a traditional single (3′) and also a small single (2’6) width, both of which are 6’3 in length. We also now offer a longer single suitable for use on European frames (3′ x 6’6).

Following the increased popularity of high sleeper frames with a larger mattress at the bottom, we are now offering the Children's Mattresses in a small double (4') and standard double (4'6) size. Although these are double sizes they are Children's Mattresses and not suitable for use by adults.

Please note our Children's Mattresses come rolled and double bagged for delivery.

The Vegan Children’s Mattresses are aimed at children over 2 years old and will be suitable to around 10 years old. It is a medium-firm support mattress which is recommended by The Children’s Sleep Charity.
